Wedding Photography

April 27th, 2012

There is something really special and sweet about photographs of the bride overlooking the water. Besides being absolutely stunning, these types of pictures capture the feeling of serenity, as the bride takes a moment to herself, perhaps to take in the magic of the day. When joined with her groom, the photos can be fun and charming, but are equally as serene. The water makes a beautiful backdrop to any gorgeous bride, and I love when the wind just happens to blow the brides dress in the perfect modelesque way (I’m just saying). Romance and happiness exudes from these photos! These are the special moments you will love to look back on forever.

Wedding Color Inspiration

April 25th, 2012

When thinking of color palates, design ideas, or an overall “theme” for your wedding, inspiration is key! By browsing blogs, magazines, and design books, you will find so many unique and different aspects that you could have never imagined! Whether it is colors, textures, or patterns, creating an inspiration board is a fun way to organize and target your personal style. The second I saw this photo of blogger and designer Sheridan French wearing one of her personal designs, I was immediately drawn to the beautiful combination of colors. The pink, gold, tan, and green dress equals perfection for wedding inspiration! You can add the various pink hues in your bridal bouquets and table arrangements, while using the gold color as an accent in chair color and decorative pieces. The green color is gorgeous, and pops when paired with these other, more neutral hues. The overall look is elegant, romantic, and SO beautiful. Where have you found your inspiration?

31 Bits Wedding Collection

April 24th, 2012

The concept behind 31 Bits is AMAZING! 31 Bits is a business that empowers women by helping them rise above poverty and establish sustainability. The team works with Northern Ugandan women to sell handcrafted jewelry, which provides these women with a consistent source of income for them and their families. Additionally, the program offers english lessons, finance training, health education, and other developmental opportunities. The jewelry is made out of 100% recycled material, and comes in several collections.
The wedding collection is absolutely gorgeous! This is a great opportunity to support an amazing organization, while you and your bridesmaids are adorned in these beautiful pieces. I am in love with the Woven Delight necklace! The gold and cream strands of beads are perfect for a strapless gown. For a less traditional design, the long Caramel Dust tiered necklace creates a fun, hip look with tan beads and gold leafing. I really love all the bracelets and how they are so wearable and unique! The neutral colors of the collection will allow you to mix and match different pieces to create a perfect wedding day look for you and your bridal party! The best part is you’ll be able to change someone’s life at the same time! I truly heart this!

Oscar De La Renta Bridal 2013

April 20th, 2012

Oh my goodness!! I can’t even contain my excitement. The entire Oscar de la Renta spring 2013 bridal collection is a MUST SEE! The baby blue hue used in quite a few looks is absolutely gorgeous. Putting a twist on the traditional bridal style, the designer added “something blue” in full-tiered tulle skirts, satin trains, and floral appliqués, which created a romantic look that did not disappoint. This line is very fashion forward, yet still wearable for any modern bride. The baby blue color was also featured in the accessories, nail colors, and even the bouquets. Pairing this color with the traditional lacey whites was brilliant, and such a hit on the runway! By mixing both traditional and modern aspects, the designer created a unique collection that is sure to be swooned over by many brides to be. Be sure to check out the entire collection!
