On January 26, 2011 I met one of the most amazing group of people ever! I walked in to the swanky conference room at the Bentley Hotel in NYC as strangers and left with 18 new friends. It was remarkable!
There were no business manuals, no white boards, or presentation slides, no right or wrong thing to say! It was an open forum for all of us to share and dive in to. Making Things Happen was intense, profound, groundbreaking, warm, and full of valuable information. If you listened with intent, if you dove in and did the work, if you believed in yourself and everyone else in that room then you definitely got it. I had no idea what to expect in this intensive. I thought I was going to leave there with numerous handouts and directives. Instead, I was handed intangible tools that will forever be tangible to my heart. I felt it! I got it! I did the work in that room. All the attendees did the work in that room. I released some tension, faced my fears, embraced possibilities, and received affirmations. All in one day!
We all shared our stories, the path that lead us there, our fears, and where we wanted to be in the very near future! We laughed, cried, and had a chance to dig deep within our souls. At one point I just marveled at how all the people in the room had a common thread, we all wanted to be so much better (but genuinely). We all needed a push and boy did we get it! I had so many “Aha! Moments” that I was overwhelmed with excitement for a couple of weeks. Since then, I’ve seen the growth not only in me but also in all my new MTH friends. Lara, Gina, and Natalie also shared their personal stories and really made a difference in our lives. One of the best business investments ever!
