I hope you are having a splendid end of the year and that your mind is in the right place. I woke up thinking about how we achieve our goals and what propels us to reach them? In my mind it’s a simple; define yourself first and not your goals. This might sound odd but it helps create a map based on the core values that make us happy. Let’s switch things up a bit. Instead of setting goals with the highest of expectations let’s think about the things that will make US better. Let’s acknowledge the things we DON’T want to do or become. You feel me? I hope that makes sense.
If you haven’t done so, dig deep and discover who you truly are. Take the time pay more attention to the things that really matter to you the most. These are a few tips that have allowed me to grow and to see the potential in things before they become “real life”:
-Create goals with a clear purpose in mind.
-Make room in your life for clarity but most importantly make room for mistakes.
-Focus on enhancing the “good” in you and continue to eliminate the “bad”. There is power in being YOU, in being genuine, and defending the things that you stand for.
-Happiness is a choice and even though it’s not easy sometimes. Don’t settle for anything less.
-Remain humble in everything you do.
-Attitude is king. Learn to adjust it accordingly. Push through when you need to.
-Trust that everyone you meet will teach you a lesson. Some lessons are good and some lessons are bad but they all are necessary links in your LIFE chain.
-While doing all this; remember that confident people don’t take pleasure in bullying or mistreating others. Whatever you do, do not allow others to affect your being. “ No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”. – Eleanor Roosevelt
-Don’t stop dreaming BIG and take action in 2018!
